Presented at APME 2024: Los Angeles

The Association for Popular Music Education is one of my favorite organizations out there. Their commitment to excellent scholarship, inclusion, and diversifying music education resonates so loudly with me, and I appreciate all the work they do.

If you’re passionate about popular music in education, you’ve got to check them out.

Not only are their national conferences full of the most passionate and caring educators, performers, and researchers you could imagine, the conference moves to a different music school every year — which means I get to hang out in so many incredible places!

I loved my time in LA at USC Thornton. I presented two recent papers, which sparked the kinds of visionary discussions a voice nerd like me dreams about.

I’m heading to the APME International Conference in Edinburgh this July, and am excited to connect with another world of visionary music makers.
