I met John Henny in Seattle, where he was teaching a masterclass for the Art and Science of the Performing Voice Conference. Now, there are a lot of stellar voice teachers out there, but I was astounded by John’s immense knowledge of voice physiology and acoustics, and how effortlessly he applied his knowledge to summon phenomenal results for his singers.

I gave a presentation that weekend on the science of vocal effects and how to teach them, and was delighted when John invited me on his fabulous podcast to chat about my favorite topic a little more. Check out the interview here!

It’s not everyday I meet a practitioner so aligned with my own way of thinking, and who shares my values of inclusion and understanding in the voice pedagogy world.

We’re cooking up another collaboration in the near future, so stay tuned!
